MrBeast’s Big Poker TV Show Moment
After showing up a couple hours late due to a delayed flight, MrBeast took his seat alongside poker legends Phil Hellmuth, Doyle Brunson and a cast of other characters including chess master Alexandra Botez and senator Ted Cruz.
He folds twice, saying that he wants to see how everyone else plays. “I usually lose, so it should be free money for you guys,” he explains.
Then he decides to limp in with 87o. Unfortunately for him, Hellmuth raises with aces. Everyone folds back around, and MrBeast calls.
“Beast vs. apex predator,” says Hellmuth with a smile.
The flop comes 29T, giving MrBeast an open ended straight draw. He leads out with a small bet, and Hellmuth instantly shoves his stack all-in.
Racked with indecision, MrBeast flips over his calls as he considers whether to call. Brunson is soaking it all in with a huge smile on his face.
“I mean, I feel like I’ll hit a straight,” reasons the YouTuber. “Let’s do it! Call.” He shoves his chips into the pot. “I just sat down. Let’s see what happens.”
Beast Busted
Hellmuth delivers the bad news and flips over the aces. “Of course!” exclaims MrBeast. “Well, I have plot armor at least. I know I’m going to win!”
The turn is a king. He sits back in his chair. “The suspense…” he whispers.
The river brings a seven. “Ah, darn it. What’s the percentage chance that I hit it there?”
Doyle instantly says 2:1 as Hellmuth explains how to calculate the odds.
Thus ends MrBeasts big poker TV show moment. In a little less than seven minutes, he went from bankrolled to busted.
At least he was right about one thing. He definitely is good at giving away money!
